Microsoft Access Database and Data Projects (versions 1.0 to 2007)
Where SQL Server is Microsoft's premier relational database system, Microsoft Access is the working man's system. There is no real comparison of the two
since they are completely different systems. Access is an excellent place for the budget conscious company to start with a software system. Unlike SQL Server
Access contains excellent tools for creating a User Interface, Reports and allows Visual Basic functionality. Data can be contained within the Access database
platform, or used to connect to other data sources using ODBC or connect directly to SQL Server as an Access Data Project. With over 15 years experience
using Microsoft Access, from the introductory version 1.0 to the current Office Access 2007, Hemmingway Development Group can help.
Royalty free (no additional licenses) MS Access program installation
Do you have an MS Access program that you want to deploy on multiple machines that don't have Microsoft Access installed? We can help!
We create installation packages allowing you to deploy your MS Access program on machines that do not have Access installed. This is
a royalty free installation, meaning that no additional licenses are required. This installation can even co-exist with other
Access installations with little or no interference.
Visual Basic (VB6, VB.NET 2003-2008)
Using .NET as the application platform allows
different languages to interact with each other, which means one program can create components of the application using Visual Basic, capitalizing on
the benefits of this language, while another programmer can create portions of the application in C# (C-Sharp) for example, all in all, using the best of
both worlds, and reducing the need to find a language specific programmer to modify the application.
SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008 / Transact SQL Programming
SQL Server is Microsoft's premier relational database system. This system is an excellent choice for use as a "back end" or a system to
house data. The reason is scalability. As your company grows, the ability to handle larger amounts of data and tune performance is well handled.
Systems that are suffering performance issues that are already using SQL Server can be easily resolved. This is usually due to bad design, and either
by modifying the program code or "load balancing" (removing the processing issue from the program and adding it to SQL Server) performance issues can

ASP / ASP.NET
Web applications have become forefront in software design. Although not all applications are appropriate for design as a web application, there are
